For Adults:

Adult Discussion Group
The Adult Discussion Group meets at 9 a.m. each Sunday, September through May. Topics presented and discussed include religious, theological and secular issues. Some of the topics addressed this year include: the moral implications of war, stem cell research, current politics, and the church and immigration. A highlight of the year is the group’s annual book study.

Presbyterian Women
All women are invited to join this monthly study group on the last Wednesday of the month from September through April. For 2008-2009 they will study the Gospel of Luke using "Jubilee! Luke’s Gospel for the Poor" as their guide.

Exploring the Way
This class is a six-week introduction to Christian spirituality for small groups. Ideal for Christian novice and spiritual veteran alike, it explores the basic concepts of the Christian spiritual life, along with the biblical texts that support them. Participants will discover the spiritual practices that will sustain them on their journey -- practices like sharing faith journeys, lectio divina ("sacred reading"), breath prayer, holy listening, daily examen (a spiritual self-assessment), and simple journaling. As they're easily learned, these practices will gradually contribute to faith formation and spiritual renewal.

Living the Questions
Living the Questions is a DVD based class for both seekers and "church alumni/ae" convinced that Christianity still has relevance in the 21st Century. Living the Questions can help people explore the future of Christianity and what a meaningful faith can look like in today's world. This class is geared for progressive Christians where people have permission to ask the questions they've always wanted to ask but have been afraid to voice for fear of being thought a heretic.
