Educating our children and youth is something we take very seriously at Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church. We want them to learn the basics of the Christian faith and the Bible while having fun, too. But most importantly, we want our children to be an active part of our faith community and feel at home.

Sunday Morning Opportunities

Our children spend the 1st 10-15 minutes in worship with us. Then, they move downstairs for a time of learning just for them.  In Sunday School they learn Bible stories using kid-friendly media such as art, computers, story-telling and games.

Nursery Care for Children 4 and Under

Childcare for children ages 4 and under is offered in a safe and fun setting. We have professional, trained caregivers who have gone through criminal background checks prior to serving in any area dealing with children.

Extra Fun Opportunities

We take part in a Young Youth Cluster for grades 3-5 that meets 6 times a year. This group is an ecumenical group comprised of Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church and 5 other churches. They meet on Sunday evenings from 5-7 for fun and food. We also try to get in a lesson in between the fun stuff. The kids have a blast and they get to meet kids from other churches.

Service Component
We teach our youth that while church is a fun and safe place to be, Jesus also called on his disciples to serve people who are neglected and alienated from society. The Sunday School class has adopted Presbyterian Children’s Service as their mission project for this year. The Middle School group has been concentrating their efforts on hunger.

Children's Choir
Our Children's Choir rehearses most Sundays (mid-September to mid-May) for about 20 minutes while adults enjoy fellowship time.  The choir also sings with the Adult Choir from time to time.
