Morning Worship, 10:30 am

This Sunday worship will be at the Old Meeting House. It is Pentecost, the day we celebrate the birthday of the church! Come and celebrate everything this church has done in the past year. Wear red! The annual meeting of the congregation will take place immediately following worship.

If you have not been to the Old Meeting House before, our old stone church is on Geyer Road about 1/2 mile south of Clayton Road. Parking is available on side streets near the church. There is plenty of AC. No bathrooms though so plan ahead. The church was built in 1834. There is no nursery care at the Old Meeting House, but the service is casual and family friendly.

Older and Wiser Group Meets Sunday

Don't Forget Your Financial Pledge

Last week we collected our financial pledges for the coming fiscal year (July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013). If you have not yet turned in your pledge form, please do so. We have so much to celebrate and give thanks for. Truly we are a church “Alive in Mission”! Thank you.

Food Pack at Food Outreach

Our next Food Pack at Food Outreach will be Saturday, June 9, 8-11 a.m. We need at least 15 volunteers, ages 11 and up, to help with this mission service project. Work takes place 8-11 am at Food Outreach, 3117 Olive Street, 63103. This is a great way to serve their clients who need the most help. Sign-up in the Gathering Space. Friends are welcome. Welcome Confirmands!

Last week we welcomed Henry Epling, Helen Onken, and Katy Spears into membership. These three young people read their statements of faith during worship and then confirmed the promises their parents made at their baptisms. We welcome them to the family of faith!

This Sunday we will welcome our confirmands into membership. Henry Epling, Helen Onken and Katie Spears have been meeting and studying all year in preparation for this Sunday. They will each present a statement of faith during worship. Afterwards, there will be cake and punch in the Gathering Space. Join us to welcome them! It will be a very special worship service.

Also this Sunday we will collect our pledges for the 2012-2013 fiscal year. This past week you should have received a pledge card in the mail. I hope you have given prayerful consideration to what your pledge to the church will be for the coming year. We have so much to celebrate and to give thanks for in the life of the church. Truly we are a church “Alive in Mission”! Thank you.

Buddy Pack Packing

Want to get involved with our Buddy Pack program? Then mark your calendars for the last pack of the school year this Sunday following church! We’ll provide “hands-on” orientation to show you how the program works. See Erica Abbett or Joanna Gerst if you are interested in helping.

Pack Date: May 20, after church in the kitchen off Fellowship Hall.

Delivery Date: Friday, May 25 between 9-2. Buddy Packs are delivered to Spoede Elementary School (425 North Spoede Road, 63141).
