It's Buddy Packing Sunday, so please join us after the service in Fellowship Hall to pack food for the elementary school students in University City. This is a mission project that is quick and easy, and worth a great deal to the students that receive the Buddy Packs.
Mission in Ministry would like to thank every volunteer that came out to assist in Food Outreach last Saturday. It was uplifting just to help someone else. Please be on the lookout for future opportunities to give back! Be the Hand that Helps!
FDP's Chili Cook-Off will be held in the Gathering Space Friday evening February 22nd. Please sign-up in the Gathering Space to bring your best chili! There is a list of complimentary foods (cornbread, oyster crackers, shredded cheese, etc.) if you don’t want to enter your chili. We'll eat, cast votes for our favorite chili, and enjoy each other’s company. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 entries. Doors open at 6:30pm. Chili eating, and judging begins at 7pm. It’s Super Bowl Sunday! Whether or not your planning to watch the game this year, you can still help tackle hunger in our community by participating in our Souper Bowl of Caring food collection for Circle of Concern. Place your food donations, cash or checks (made out to Circle of Concern) in the bin of the team you’re supporting in this year’s Big Game – either the New England Patriots or the St. Louis Rams. Bins are located at the front of the sanctuary.

Your response to the Advent Calendar proved to be a big mission success again this year. Altogether, we collected 374 food items that go directly to our Buddy Pack program with U. City Schools. We also received $250 which goes to TWIGS for their financial support. Thank you to the families of FDP for all the contributions you made this Christmas season!
