I hope you all are enjoying your summer. As I write this, I'm at Spofford Lake and there isn't a cloud in the sky and the temps are in the 70s! This Saturday, the church will have a booth at Pridefest St. Charles. Stop by and say hi! This Sunday, there's an informal lunch after church in honor of Father's Day. It's a ballpark theme so wear your Cardinals gear! Rev. Jillian Embrey is preaching because I'll be at Montreat next week with Terry and the girls.
Our sympathy is extended to Marilyn Phillips whose husband, Patrick, died on Monday. The memorial service for Patrick will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the church. A reception will follow the service. Please hold Marilyn and her family in your prayers.
If I don't see you Saturday, I hope to see you next Sunday, June 25, when we'll celebrate the baptism of Jack Mortimer! It's always a joyous occasion when we welcome a little one "to the family".
